Welsh reporting goes live

Reporting goes live: Community Insight Wales users can now generate detailed area reports for their properties.

In the same way Community Insight works, users define their groups based on their local neighbourhoods, communities and areas of interest. Area profile reports can then be generated based on these groups within a few minutes!

Reports provide detailed information on all the key indicators that support your work in targeting and evaluating community investment.

Community Insight launches in Wales

Community Insight has officially gone live in Wales, with the first group of Welsh housing associations already getting stuck into the system. We’re really pleased to welcome Tai Calon Housing Association, Bron Afon Community Housing, Charter Housing, Newydd Housing and Wales and West Housing to Community Insight.

Croeso I bawb!

What is Community Insight Wales?

Community Insight Wales works in exactly the same way as Community Insight, but with datasets gathered-up from Welsh data publishers, and reports & analysis targeted to Welsh housing provider needs. So you’ll still find all the great functionality from the original Community Insight, as well as new functionality we have recently added.

Check out the Community Insight FAQs for more information on the open data housing tool. And you can find out about the latest updates and new functionality here from our regular blog posts.

Coming soon- Community Insight user group meet-up

Community Insight subscribers are invited to the next ‘user group’ meeting which will be held Thursday 11th July 10.00am-2.00pm. This meeting will be held at the HACT offices, in CAN Mezzanine 49-51 East Road, London, N1 6AH (same as last time for those of you who were able to make it).

These on-going sessions give Community Insight subscribers the chance to:

  • Give feedback on Community Insight and any areas that aren’t working to your requirements;
  • Find out how other subscribers are using the tool;
  • Contribute to the prioritisation of product development over the coming months.

The session will specifically address the technical aspects of the programme, providing a training opportunity for new or enhanced features, ‘how-tos’ and will provide an opportunity to address any technical issues you maybe experiencing.

We will also provide a working lunch.

Reserve your space here.

Can’t make it?

Not to worry. Contact us with any issues or comments you wish for us to discuss at the group meeting.

We will post a summary of the event afterwards here.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Map your hotspots in even more detail

Map your hotspot areas: The Community Insight map show how your areas compare with other areas across the country. However, many users have asked us if they could map their ‘hotspot’ areas in more detail- showing just those areas with the highest levels on the selected indicator, and picking out those in the top 1%, 5% and 10%.

The new ‘hotspot’ functionality does exactly this, showing areas in the top 20% of areas on the mapped indicator. You can toggle the between showing all areas, or just the hotspot areas.
