Data updates in Community Insight

We have updated a whole bunch of indicators on Community Insight (184 to be precise!). Alongside the usual monthly updates we now also have the latest mid-year population estimates for 2015.

Highlights  

  • The mid-year population estimates produced by the Office for National Statistics. This is broken down into smaller indicators by age and gender. This data has also been used to revise other indicators within Community Insight such as:
    • Data on business units published by the Office of National Statistics
    • Police recorded crime figures published by Police UK

Alongside those updates are the usual updates, highlights include;

  • Benefit data Department of Work and Pensions, including:
    • Unemployment Benefit (JSA and Universal Credit)
    • Disability Living Allowance
    • Attendance Allowance
    • Pension Credit claimants

Reports 

Please note. Whilst the data is all updated within Community Insight, on the maps, dashboard, data for your areas popup etc. The updated data is not yet available within the reports. Therefore, please hold off on updating your reports for now. The data will be available within the reports by early next week and we will let you know.

Community Insight top tip 

If you are unsure about the date period for which an indicator refers to, what the source of the dataset is or when the next publication date is, then remember you can check the metadata. To do this in Community Insight, start by selecting to view a dataset on the map, click on the Info button and then click About the Indicator.  See the image below for more information.
